Can Cinnal F be a substitute for Gonal F  in ovarian stimulation protocol

Can Cinnal F be a substitute for Gonal F  in ovarian stimulation protocol?

Back ground: The existence of mature oocytes with proper quality and achieving a good quality embryo in the treatment of infertility by ICSI method is essential for IVF success.

For this reason type of the drugs which are used is so important.

According to the production of Cinnal _F drug which is available  ,cost effective and similar  to Gonal F we decided to compare the effects of Cinnal F and Gonal F  on M2 oocyte number  (Maturation Rate, MR) fertilization rate (FR), oocyte  and  embryo quality and the response of ovarian to these two drugs.

Material & method: this retrospective study was perform in Novin Infertility Center from June 2017  to Oct 2018.

Maturation rate MR  ,FR, oocyte and embryo quality in  ۵۰ patient who has got Gonal F in antagonist protocol for oocyte retrieval were compare with 90 women who has got cinnal F. In spite of that depending to the amount of response of ovary to the drugs (which is measured ultrasonically and due to the size of the follicle) trigger (HCG)prescribed. The best time for using HCG is when the size of follicle became 18-20 mm.32-36 hours after triggering, puncturing of the oocyte has done.

Result: maturation rate was 78% In Cinnal _F group  versus  ۸۱%  in Gonal F group(p:0.3)

(p:0.4) fertilization rate was 85% In Cinnal _F group  versus  ۸۷%  in Gonal F , oocyte  and embryo quality did not show any significant differences between two groups (p:0.1)

Conclusions: According to the similar result between these two groups in these patients, cinnal –F can  be prescribed because of its availability and cost-effectiveness.
