Sequential embryo transfer

Sequential embryo transfer

RIF can have different causes, including decreased embryo reception by the endometrium or impaired developmental potential of the embryo. Reduction of embryo acceptance by the endometrium can be due to anomalies in the endometrial cavity or problems with endometrial surface adhesion molecules.

Increasing the chances of pregnancy for these patients is one of the important concerns of IVF centers. Transferring of embryos in two sequential days (day 3 and day 5) may reduce the probability to miss the best timing of the embryo implantation by the endometrium.
